What is a Model of the European Union?
A Model European Union (MEU) is a simulation of the EU decision-making process. Participants replicate the work of the European institutions in the European Parliament, discussing two controversial, real-life legislative proposals drafted by the European Commission.
A unique learning experience
Participating in MEU will not only help you gain a better understanding of the decision-making process of the European Union, but will also challenge you in multiple ways. You will also have a unique opportunity to meet young people from all over Europe and engage in a well-organized and challenging simulation.

Young and motivated
Since the model will be organized as an activity within the framework of an Erasmus+ project, the work of organizers (young engaged students) is completly voluntary, and is a chance in itself for them to become more familiar with European institutions.

Hi! My name is Eider Martínez, and I am the Secretary General. I am currently finishing a degree in International Relations at Deusto University, and next year I would like to continue my education with a Master specializing in European Studies. I am highly interested in European concerns which is why I am very motivated to pursue this model.

Hello! My name is Sara Cardona, and I am the Director of Public Relations. I am currently finishing a degree in Global Studies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and next year will continue my superior education at Sciences Po Paris, studying a master in European Affairs and Social Policy. I am a firm advocate for youth’s involvement in politics, therefore, I am really excited to participate in this project that will contribute to approaching youngsters to the European Union and its inner workings

I am involved in politics, economics and social movements since it is the way to achieve a better society for all of us. Hello! My name is Alex Collado and I hold the position of Lobbyist Coordinator at the Brussels Model of the European Union. I am currently pursuing my second year of the International Relations degree at the University of Deusto and next year I will be continuing my studies at LUISS University in Rome. It fills me with great enthusiasm to contribute to this project, which aims to actively engage young Europeans and enhance their comprehension of the European Union and its intricate mechanisms.
